Get the right dimensions in three steps

- Keep the aspect ratio locked for a proportional resize. Unlock it to fit the whole image with padding, fill a frame with a centered crop, or stretch to both dimensions.

How do I resize without cropping?
Keep the aspect ratio locked and change one dimension, or use a percentage. For a different frame shape, unlock the ratio and choose Fit to keep the whole image with padding.
What is the difference between resizing and compressing?
Resizing changes pixel dimensions. File size also depends on the image and output format. This tool reports the actual output bytes so you can check your file against your destination’s requirements.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Choose PNG or WebP and keep transparency enabled. JPEG uses the background color you select. Fit uses the same choice for any added padding.
What happens to orientation and image metadata?
The image opens in its browser-decoded orientation. The download is a new still image at the chosen dimensions; original EXIF metadata is not copied into it.
Does my image leave this page?
The tool decodes, resizes and exports your image locally in this page. It does not upload your file or save it to browser storage.
