<h1>Support workflow review: two reporting periods</h1>
<p>Original demonstration input. All teams, events, numbers, and policies are fictional. No customer or company records are included.</p>
<h2>Purpose and scope</h2>
<p>Period A: 4–31 May 2026. Period B: 1–28 June 2026. Each reporting period contains 28 calendar days.</p>
<p>This review asks whether a fictional support team is keeping pace with incoming work and what it should investigate next. Completed tickets include new requests and work carried over from an earlier period; completions divided by arrivals are not a resolution rate for new tickets.</p>
<h2>Recorded measures</h2>
<table>
<caption>Recorded measures for two 28-day reporting periods</caption>
<thead><tr><th scope="col">Measure</th><th scope="col">Unit</th><th scope="col">Period A</th><th scope="col">Period B</th></tr></thead>
<tbody>
<tr><th scope="row">Open tickets at period start</th><td>tickets</td><td>40</td><td>56</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Tickets received during the period</th><td>tickets</td><td>200</td><td>240</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Tickets completed during the period</th><td>tickets</td><td>184</td><td>228</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Open tickets at period end</th><td>tickets</td><td>56</td><td>68</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Median first-response time</th><td>hours</td><td>6.0</td><td>4.5</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Recorded support work</th><td>staff hours</td><td>320</td><td>360</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Tickets reopened during the period</th><td>tickets</td><td>8</td><td>12</td></tr>
<tr><th scope="row">Incoming requests classified as complex</th><td>requests</td><td>50</td><td>84</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<p>The queue reconciles: Period A ends with 40 + 200 − 184 = 56 open tickets; Period B ends with 56 + 240 − 228 = 68.</p>
<p>First-response time is the median time from receipt to the first team response where a timestamp is available. It does not measure final resolution time. Reopened counts are not matched to the same completion cohort and are not a comparable failure rate.</p>
<h2>Interpretation and next actions</h2>
<p>The team completed more tickets in Period B, but it still received more work than it completed. A revised routing checklist, more support hours, and a higher share of complex requests occurred in the same period. There was no randomization or separate comparison team.</p>
<p>The lower median first-response time does not prove that the checklist caused the change. The source contains no payroll rates, tool costs, customer-satisfaction scores, or complete resolution-time distribution.</p>

<p>Keep the same queue definitions in the next report. Add a separate resolution-time measure only if reliable data is available. A cost comparison should wait until the required cost data is supplied.</p>

Was unterscheidet Fragment und Seite?

Was passiert mit Bildern?
